The Trinket Trust
We believe there are 1000's of euro worth of broken gold and silver chains, odd earings, old bangles unwanted gifts etc laying around in jewellery boxes, drawers and old jam jars in people's houses. The Trinket Trust was launched in 2007 and the Children's Leukaemia Association are urging people to gather up their odd bits and pieces and place them in the deposit box kept at Carroll's Jewellers, East Village, Douglas and at the Visitor's Centre, UCC.
All this waste precious metal can then be turned into badly needed money for the Children's Leukaemia Association, Mercy University Hospital, Cork. The silver and gold will be graded, sorted and weighted in the workshop of Séan Carroll & Sons, Silversmiths, Rutland Street, Cork. Metal will then be sent to the bullion dealers in return for a big fat cheque! The weighing of the metals will be presided over by Ms Clare Power and Sgt Dave Tracey (Douglas Garda Station).
Thanking you for your valued help. |
